Lorenz Lindner is an artist, musician, producer and DJ who lives and works in Leipzig, Germany. He hosts and curates a monthly radio show on Berlin Community Radio and runs an audio pre-mastering service.
A short introduction:
Lorenz Lindner aka Mix Mup started to produce music at a very early age in the 90s and soon got interested in freejazz and in the techno. In 1999 he worked in Munich at DiskoB and Gigolo Records and got heavily involved in the scene around Ultraschall and the Munich Art School set. He began to work with Emanuel Günther (Erkrankung Durch Musique / Zombokombo) and Chicks on Speed. In 2001 he moved to Leipzig, began to study media art at the Academy Of Visual Arts (HGB) and became close friends with the Homoelektrik collective.
Since 2001 he has released several records on labels like Mikrodisko, Hinge Finger, The Trilogy Tapes, Meakusma and Erkrankung Durch Musique. He collaborates with his friend and studio partner Kassem Mosse in the project MM/KM, which saw its first release in 2012 on UK label The Trilogy Tapes (TTT).
He was also involved in remix projects for John Beltran, Paul Woolford, Mistakes Are Ok, Kowton, UD, Si Begg to name a few.
Lorenz Lindner has been involved in various media art projects and since 2006 he has had some solo exhibitions as well as participating in group exhibitions.
